Our thriving Next Gen Ministries is a wholistic program for preschool through high school youth. Next Gen Ministries help children & youth develop a lifelong relationship with Christ.
Acworth UMC uses Grow Curriculum which gears lessons on the same topics leveled to work with preschool & children and a complimentary lesson for youth group. Every lesson, song, scripture memory verse, game, craft, mission project, prayer experience, retreat, and fun activity strives to bring God’s WORD to life. Our prayer is that each activity opens up conversation between parents and kids at home. By partnering together, we can strengthen the faith of the child and the family to build a firm foundation of belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. |
What to Expect on SundaysNursery childcare is available during worship service in C202. The nursery check-in desk is in Building C at the church office. Nursery workers & teachers have been trained for safety & have a background check.
Children will begin the 9:30 hour in the balcony of McClure Hall (Casual Worship.) Next Gen Upstairs is held in C304, but check-in is outside the nursery. Follow the footprints to Next Gen check in. Next Gen Sunday School 9:30 am Next Gen Upstairs 11:00 am

Next Gen Small GroupsWednesdays from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
3rd - 12th Graders This year all groups will be on Wednesdays at Acworth UMC. This is going to be an awesome time to eat, play, learn and build community. It's a new way to be together and we can't wait to see you there! |

Next Gen Family Cagle's Farm Outing
Friday, October 11 Carpool to farm, leaving at 6:00 pm $20 per ticket, purchase from Cagle's Get lost in the corn maze, take a hayride, roast marshmallows and pet farm animals. Cagle’s Farm is so much fun in the fall! Register online; tickets are $20. Bring money for supper and treats! |

Community Pumpkin Bash or Treat
October 25, 2024 6:00 - 7:00 pm Join us for this fun community event! Dress in your favorite costume and meet us on the lake side for trick or treating, bouncies, games, face painting, and dinner! Entry with donation of prepared packaged food item for Backpack Blessings. |

Choir Chili Fundraiser & Family Pumpkin Carving (BYOP) October 27, 2024 at Noon Join us one and all for a church family fall celebration! The choir’s fundraising Chili Cookoff is always a “don’t miss event”! Bring your pumpkin and carve something magical for the pumpkin carving contest! Have a s’more with your family! Rooted Youth Retreat
November 8-10 6th - 12th Grade | Camp Glisson The Rooted Retreat is the North Georgia Conference fall youth group gathering. Rooted provides powerful worship experiences, and inspiring speakers. The Rooted Retreat is focused on group formation and community involvement and outreach. This fall retreat encourages youth to live out their faith in the world. Registration is $175 (please let us know if financial assistance is needed.) |
