Our thriving Next Gen Ministries is a wholistic program for preschool through high school youth. Next Gen Ministries help children & youth develop a lifelong relationship with Christ.
Acworth UMC uses Grow Curriculum which gears lessons on the same topics leveled to work with preschool & children and a complimentary lesson for youth group. Every lesson, song, scripture memory verse, game, craft, mission project, prayer experience, retreat, and fun activity strives to bring God’s WORD to life. Our prayer is that each activity opens up conversation between parents and kids at home. By partnering together, we can strengthen the faith of the child and the family to build a firm foundation of belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. |
What to Expect on SundaysNursery care for ages 0-PreK is provided during all Sunday morning worship services in room C202.
9:30 am - Students K-5th grade, check in at the base of the McClure Hall Balcony stairs and meet in the balcony (The Bird’s Eye). Students 6-12th grade participate in The Table at the Youth Table or with their family. 11:00 am - Students K-12th grade, will start worship service in the Sanctuary. Students 6th grade and up will stay in worship for the sermon. Children 5th grade & under may sit in the kids area (first 2 rows in the center) or with their parents. There will be a Children’s Moment and then children 5th grade & under may follow Children’s Director Kim Swank to Sunday School. Children will return to McClure Gathering Area for parents to sign them out after service. |

Youth Group Wednesdays

6:00 - 8:00 pm in Family Life Center
This August & September, youth will be meeting on Wednesdays rom 6:00 - 8:00 pm to eat, play & learn. Youth Group Wednesday Dinners $5 per meal or $60 per semester | We are looking for volunteers to donate dinners, but this cost covers paper goods and meals when there are not volunteers signed up to bring dinner. |

Elementary & Youth Christmas Lights Trip
December 10 at 6:00 pm Family Life Center Join us for the last Wednesday night group of the year. It's a Christmas Party! We're bring the elementary and youth together to have cocoa, look at Christmas lights and celebrate together! |

Christmas Eve Family Friendly Impromptu Christmas Pageant
December 24 at 3 pm Sanctuary This is the perfect Christmas Eve Service for your entire family... even your toddlers! All the children are invited to pick a part to play in this interactive Christmas Pageant. They move as they listen to the music and story. Experience the retelling of Jesus's birth through the eyes of your favorite littles! |

Christmas Eve Modern Service
December 24 at 5 pm McClure Hall Come experience modern worship and hear the Christmas story in a poignant and personal way. Candlelight and communion will be included in the service. This service was formerly slotted at 11:00 pm, but it's too good to miss! |
