Stephen MinistryStephen Ministers provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting. Caregivers are trained in all aspects of personal crisis and are committed in a non-judgmental and confidential journey towards health and happiness.
The relationship between a care receiver and a Stephen Minister is confidential. When a care receiver’s needs exceed what a Stephen Minister can provide, the Stephen Ministry team makes a referral to an appropriate mental health professional or other community resource. |

Pastoral Care & Counseling
Acworth UMC strongly suggests seeking personal counseling when life is difficult, through transitions, or simply for proper self-care.
You are always encouraged to reach out to contact the pastors, who will provide a time to listen, pray, and seek the will of God.
Trained Stephen Ministers are also available for compassionate, Christian care.
Mental health counseling is separate from pastoral care and they often go hand-in-hand.
