A Place Where Kids Belong.

NextGen Kids is children's ministry at Acworth UMC — where kids from nursery through 5th grade learn who Jesus is through stories, songs, games, and leaders who know their name every single week.

Nursery (0–2 years)
A warm, secure space with background-checked caregivers so the littlest members of our church family are loved and looked after while you worship.

Preschool (3 years – Pre-K)
Simple Bible stories, songs, and hands-on play that introduce big truths in small, wonder-filled ways.

Elementary (K – 5th Grade)
Kids worship together with music and games, then break into small groups by grade for Bible lessons, discussion, and prayer led by consistent, trained volunteers.

What to Expect on Sundays

• When: Both Sunday services, 9:30 AM & 11:00 AM
• Check-in: Stop by the NextGen Kids check-in station in the Gathering Area or in the Classroom Hallway outside C202 — get checked in and get your sticker for pick up. 
• Safety: Every volunteer completes a background check and child safety training; secure check-in and pickup means only you (or someone you approve) can pick up your child,
• First time? Arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can get your family set up.

9:30 am - Check in at a NextGen Kids Station and then take your child to their classroom.

11:00 am - Check-in for  Nursery  (0-3 yrs) is same as 9:30 am. Older children will start service in the Sanctuary with their parents or in the kids area (1st row center.) Please check-in your child before service. There will be a Children’s Moment, after which children 5th grade & under may follow leaders to Sunday School classes. Use your parent sticker to check-out children from their classroom.

NextGen Kids Wednesday Nights

NEXTGEN KIDS CHOIR & BIBLE TIME
5:00 - 7:00 pm

On Wednesday nights we have Kids Choir led by our talented resident pianist and week night programming with Bible stories and crafts with Associate NextGen Director Kim Swank & youth helpers. This will allow you to drop-off & pick up the whole family at the same time. And there's a Bible Study for Parents led by Pastor Emily too!

Melody Choir (K & Under) - 5:00 - 5:30 pm
Harmony Choir (1st-5th Grade) - 5:30 - 6:15pm

K & Under Crafts & Lessons - 5:30 - 6:15 pm
1st - 5th Kids Crafts & Lessons - 6:15 - 7:00 pm

Playground and Pick-Up - 6:15 - 7:00 pm​
