GOOD SAM FUND and FOOD PANTRY
This ministry assists the needy in our community following the example of the Good Samaritan.

Murphy Harpst is in need of 8 box fans and associated accessories for the horse barn.  If this is an area in which you are called to serve, please help with a donation payable to AUMC,  memo "Missions-Murphy-Harpst".  No donation is too small!  As well, they can always use "Mane and Tail" shampoo - found in Walmart or on Amazon for about $6 per bottle. Questions? contact Eileen Collins at eileencollins@ogarajet.com

The Food Pantry is open from 2-4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Donations are being accepted. They may be left next to the Children's & Family Ministry door where the food pantry is now located.

ZIMBABWE MISSION
Ms. Shirley Rose has centered her life on helping others. She traveled on her first mission trip in 1990 and hasn't stopped since. Even if she is not in Zimbabwe, Africa, or building a church in Jamaica, her mind is on the villagers and her spirit is determined to provide for them.
Since her first visit to treat the children of Zimbabwe and those suffering from AIDS, Ms. Rose has done all she can to find a better way of life for those who desperately need it. While there she paints churches, repairs buildings and roofs and finds supplies for the villagers.

Dorothy Mutambara

At home in Acworth, her work continues. She raises money through yard sales, church suppers and fund raisers for a roof for the HopeCenter she, along with other missionaries, begain building in June in Zimbabwe. She also gathers clothes, powdered milk, peanut butter and anything else the children may need to send in large boxes she packs and ships directly to Zimbabwe.
The children give Ms. Rose a reason to continue working for them.

" The last breath I draw, I'll still be working for the children"

Please contact theShirley Rose if you can help in this ministry.
