MUSIC MINISTRY

Join Us in 20102
As I write this article, I am reflecting on the message that Pastor James gave yesterday. He talked about how important worship is in the church and secondly, how important it is for each of us to become involved in a small group.
I want to invite you to join one of our musical groups this year. Our choirs, handbell groups and praise team all offer a place where you will be loved and supported. We pray for each other and look after each other...we love another.
At AUMC we offer choirs for all ages from our very young Sweet Pea choir to our more mature Celebration Singers. Our Handbells offer groups for all ages and ability levels.
If you want information about an adult group, contact Dan Martin at dan@acworthumc.org. For information on children’s choirs, contact Diane Taylor at diane@acworthum.org. For more information about Handbells contact Vicki Frey at freyfam@bellsouth.net.
We hope you will join one of our groups as we grow together in worship, in fellowship and in love.

Kids on the Hill
The children’s choirs are back in full swing and you can hear lots of excitement, joy and beautiful voices singing on Wednesday nights . We are just beginning to work on our new Spring Musical. It is called “The Amazing Grace Race”.
It is all about how the race of life is full of mountains and valleys. It teaches how we need to walk like Jesus in our shoes. The music is fun and it is full of many interesting characters including Spud who wants to give up on the race. His friends encourage him to finish the race and they cross the finish line together.
It’s not too late to be a part of “The Amazing Grace Race”. Auditions will be held on Sunday, February 5, from 2:00-4:00pm. Sign up sheets will be outside of S108 on Wednesday nights or you can contact Diane Taylor to sign up for an audition time. We hope you’ll join us as we begin “The Amazing Grace Race”.

M&M’s Choir
This choir is made up of young people in grades 6 and up. Our goal is to take our music outside of the church and share with our community. We meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:30-5:30.
We sing a wide variety of music and we have a lot of fun. After choir is over you can go right to youth activities. bb
Come join us on Sundays and bring a friend.

Join our Sound Tech Team
Maybe singing or playing music isn’t your thing but you like to play with buttons. Well, we have the spot for you. How about joining our sound tech team ?
Oh, you’ve never done that before?....Well, don’t worry, we will train you. If you are interested in learning more about sound, contact Emily and Ken Barra at emilybarra@bellsouth.net .
