AUMC Food Pantry
I sat at the kitchen table looking out the window at all the birds flocking to the feeder for there morning snacks. One of my favorite ways to wake up in the morning. All I need to do is to keep the feeder full for the variety of feathered friends to enjoy their feast everyday at anytime. Easy enough! I am rewarded with a beautiful song of thanks daily. But this day was different. It was a day we at Acworth United Church would open our doors of our food pantry. I thought of the many variety of people we help and once again was so thank-ful. Just as the birds have come to depend on me to keep the feeder full, all the "pantry pals" are blessed to have all of you to depend on to help keep our shelves full. And although singing a song of thanks would be a good thing, we can all speak the words "thank you" for all your generous giving.
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV)
