The Chancel Choir is accepting new members for the Christmas season. The choir is working on music for the Christmas Celebration Service which will be held on Sunday, December 15th, at the 11 am service. For that special service we will have the full orchestra, the Kids on the Hill Choir, and a program of music to celebrate and contemplate the meaning of Christmas.
The Choir is also learning some very meaningful anthems for Sunday services.
There is no audition for the Chancel Choir and no one is ever “put on the spot” in any way. You do not even have to read music to join. All we ask is that you come to rehearsals on Wednesday nights from 7:15 – 8:45 pm.
You will enjoy being a part of a dedicated, fun loving, warm and accepting group of wonderful people. Come Wednesday and try it!
The Hand Bell choirs are all working toward their program to be presented on December 1st at 5pm. The concert will feature each of the hand bells groups, vocal solos by Charles Frey, organ solos by Vicki Frey, and Christmas music sung by the entire congregation. There are these and other musical surprises which make for an enjoyable evening of Christmas music. We hope you will be there.
The Kids on the Hill Choir is full of excitement about their Christmas musical
which they will present on December 8th at 11 am and 5 pm. They have had auditions for parts and are working hard each Wednesday night at 6 pm to learn
their music, speaking parts, and choreography. If your first – fifth grader has not been to Kids on the Hill rehearsal, you should consider bringing them. They will absolutely love it!!
