ATTENTION KIDS….GRADUATED 1st-5th Graders
….ARE YOU READY TO CELEBRATE SUMMER? SCHOOL IS OUT and we have the best way to celebrate…with your friends ALL NIGHT LONG! Come to the greatest LOCK-IN ever…this June 6th from 7pm-7am the next morning! We will have a rockwall, jumps and A GREAT SURPRISE that will make you FLIP! Don’t forget your friends! Bring your sleeping bags (not that you will get too much sleep, but you might want to rest for a second or two), wear your tennis shoes, bring group games, G-rated DVDs, and boys bring a salty snack to SHARE and girls a sweet snack to Share…if you want to bring other things like pillows, teddy bears and such, feel free! We need chaperones (adults) willing to run around all night chasing kids (promise lots of fun and exercise!). Contact Michelle for more info. Cost for the night is 20.00 and covers all activities, late night pizza and early morning breakfast. (The kids should be dropped off fed!!!) BRING FRIENDS!!!

ATTENTION GRADUATING 5TH GRADERS….
Our annual Summer 5th Grade Flight and Road Trip will be on July 6 and 7 (6pm-6pm…24 hours). We celebrate the flight of our 5th graders (leaving the Children’s Ministry area) with a special overnight stay at the Church and road trip to somewhere special. The cost for the 24 hours is $25.00 and will cover meals, and all activities. Contact Michelle Arnold to sign up your graduating 5th graders.
ATTENTION FAMILIES….
let’s go to the ballgame! AUMC will be making a trip to the Rome Braves Game on Friday Night 8/15 at 7pm. We will meet in the Church parking lot at 5:45 to convoy to the game. Ticket prices are 5.50 (if we have a group of 25 or more). Sign up for your tickets with Michelle by 8/1/08. We will not be eating before hand…so come fed or bring $ to eat at the park.

We have less than one month before our School-year Sunday School Teachers leave for their Summer Break….have you signed up to fill a space yet? Have you had the unique blessing to lead a kid’s Sunday School class or have you watched from afar as someone else gathers all the blessings? GUESS WHAT? IT IS YOUR TURN! This Summer we have a SUPER opportunity for you to not only gain blessings but for you to also share blessings with the children you lead and the teachers for whom you are providing a break. 3RD GRADE BIBLE SUNDAY
will be on August 17 at the 11:00 Service. If you have an upcoming (08-09 school year) 3rd grader, we would like to present a gift of a wonderful Bible to them during this service. If you have plans to attend this service with your 3rd grader, please email Michelle with their First (or called) and last name (ONLY) before 8/1/08.If you have a child in 3rd-5th grade who never received their Bible, please contact Michelle so that we may get them one.
PROMOTION SUNDAY
for all children (thru finished 5th grade) will be on August 17. This is the week that everyone will enter their new grades in Sunday School and Jr. Church and new 6th graders will enter into their new Sunday School classes. Our Sunday School ages are by grade and age as of September 1st of the current school year.
SAFE SANCTUARIES TRAINING May 21.
(Date Change) If you plan on working as a Sunday School Teacher, nursery worker (volunteer or paid worker), VBS volunteer, camp worker, etc….YOU MUST BE SAFE SANCTUARY TRAINED!!!
